Operation501-338 FBT-6 User Manual Rev M.0 45USB Port and Associated FeaturesThe USB port on the Monitor can be connected to a PC. Usingthe FBT-6 Assistant program installed on a PC, reports collectedon the Monitor can be transferred to an Excel file on the PC andthe firmware in the Monitor can be updated.Install the FBT-6 Assistant software by following theinstructions FBT-6 Assistant Software InstallationInstructions on page 7 before attempting to connect theMonitor to the USB port.Connect the Monitor directly to a USB port on the PC. TheMonitor does not work with all USB hubs and laptopdocking stations.WARNING: Do not connect the Monitor to a fieldbus and aPC at the same time. This could damage the fieldbussegment and the Monitor. Only use the USB port in safe(non-hazardous) locations.
