Operation501-338 FBT-6 User Manual Rev M.0343. Average NoiseAverage noise is measured in three bands: frequenciesin the Fieldbus signaling band (Fieldbus Frequency, FF),frequencies below Fieldbus signaling band (LowFrequency, LF), and frequencies above Fieldbussignaling band (High Frequency, HF). The valuedisplayed is the average of the last 100 noisemeasurements. The particular frequency banddisplayed is selected by pushing the SELECT button.The FF band is shown first followed by the LF then HFbands.AVG FF NOISE68mV OKIf the FF band noise level is above the allowed limit(75mV by default), the display will say BAD where itnormally says OK.AVG FF NOISE1000mV BADIf the LF or HF band noise level is above the allowedlimit (150mV by default), the display will say BAD whereit normally says OK.AVG HF NOISE200mV BADThe FF, LF, and HF noise level limits are configurableusing the Set Alert Limits function in the FBT-6 Assistantsoftware. See Set Alert Limits function on page 54 fordetails.Holding down the SELECT button for 2 seconds resetsthe selected average noise value. |
