Shield ShortIf the segment wiring is good, the Monitor showsWIRING OKIf one of the wires is shorted to the cable shield, theMonitor indicates a (+) or (-) to shield short asapplicable.(+) TO SHIELDSHORT BADThe Monitor will always detect shorts of 4 Kohms or less.The amount of resistance the Monitor reports as a shortvaries with temperature and DC bus voltage and couldbe as high as 36 Kohms.Shorts come and go in some cases, such as with thepresence of moisture or vibration. If the Monitordetected a short in the past then the short went away itindicates the short is intermittent.(+) TO SHIELDINTERMITTENTHolding the SELECT button down for 2 seconds resetsthe Shield Short function. Resetting the Shield Shortfunction clears intermittent short indications. |
