Regency GF950L Gas Fireplace7installationThis includes:1) Clocking the appliance to ensure the correctfiring rate (rate noted on label) after burningappliance for 15 minutes.2) If required, adjusting the primary air to ensurethat the flame does not carbon. When selecting a location for your fireplace,ensure that the clearances are met.2. The appliance must be installed on a flat,solid, continuous surface For example awood, metal or concrete floor. In a raised (onthe wall) application the appliance must beinstalled on a metal or wood panel extendingthe full width and depth of the appliance.3. The GF950L Direct Vent Gas Fireplace canbe installed in a recessed position or framedout into the room as in A, B, C and D. SeeDiagram 1.INSTALLATION CHECKLIST1. Locate appliance:a) Room location (Refer to "Locating YourGas fireplace" section)b) Clearances to Combustibles (Refer to"Clearances" section)c) Mantle Clearances (Refer to "MantelClearances" section)d) Framing & Finishing Requirements (Referto "Framing & Finishing" section)e) Flueing Requirements (Refer to "Flueing"section)2. Assemble the standoffs and nailing strips(Refer to "Unit Assembly Prior to Installation).3. Slide unit into place.4. Install vent (Refer to "Flueing Arrangement"sections).5. Make gas connections (Refer to "Gas LineInstallation section).6. Test the pilot (Refer to "Pilot Adjustment"section).7. Test Gas Pressure (Refer to "Gas Pipe Pres-sure Testing" section).8. Install standard and optional features. Referto the following sections:a) Log Installb) Faceplate / Door Frame Overlayc) Remote Control9. Final check.Before leaving this unit with the customer, theinstaller must ensure that the appliance is firingcorrectly and operation fully explained tocustomer.4. The GF950L Direct Vent Gas Fireplace isapproved for alcove installations, see "Clear-ances" section for details.5. We recommend that you plan your instal-lation on paper using exact measurementsfor clearances and floor protection beforeactually installing this appliance. Have anauthorized inspector, dealer, or installerreview your plans before installation.Note: For flue terminations refer to "ExteriorFlue Termination Locations" section.
