After you have finished reading the instructions, keepthis document in a safe place for future reference.Be sure to disconnect the terminal of the vehicle’sbattery before connecting the power or AV cable.Handling precautions• Be sure to install this product correctly according to thisinstruction manual. Installation other than specified maycause an accident or injury. In this case, Pioneer does nottake any responsibility.• When installing this product, also read the “SafetyPrecautions” for the compatible Dash Camera to which thisproduct is to be installed.Precautions before connecting the systemCAUTION• Secure all wiring with cable clamps or electrical tape. Donot allow any bare wiring to remain exposed.• Make sure that the cables and wires will not interfere withor become caught in any of the vehicle’s moving parts,especially the steering wheel, gearstick, handbrake, slidingseat tracks, doors, or any of the vehicle’s controls.• Do not route wires where they will be exposed to hightemperatures. If the insulation heats up, wires may becomedamaged, resulting in a short circuit or malfunction andpermanent damage to the product.• Do not shorten any cables. If you do, the protection circuit(fuse holder, fuse resistor or filter, etc.) may fail to workproperly.• Never feed power to other electronic products by cuttingthe insulation of the power supply cable of this productand tapping into the cable. The current capacity of thecable will be exceeded, causing overheating.Important safeguardsWARNING• Any obstruction of or other interference with the airbag,either deployed or non-deployed, or with the clear view ofthe road must be avoided and, accordingly, professionalinstallation is required.• Do not allow this product to come into contact with liquids.Electrical shock could result. Also, damage to the product,smoke, and overheating could result from contact withliquids.• Do not disassemble or modify this product, as there arehigh-voltage components inside which may cause anelectric shock. Be sure to consult your dealer or the nearestauthorised Pioneer Service Station for internal inspection,adjustments or repairs.• Do not use this product in locations subjected to hightemperatures of 60°C or higher, low temperatures of –10°Cor lower, or high humidity.To prevent damageWARNING• When replacing the fuse, be sure to only use a fuse of therating prescribed on this product.Precautions before installation (I)CAUTION• Never install this product in places where, or in a mannerthat:- Could injure the driver or passengers if the vehicle stopssuddenly.- May interfere with the driver’s operation of the vehicle,such as on the floor in front of the driver’s seat, or close tothe steering wheel or gearstick.• To ensure proper installation, be sure to use the suppliedparts in the manner specified. If any parts are not suppliedwith this product, use compatible parts in the mannerspecified after you have the parts’ compatibility checkedby your dealer. If parts other than supplied or compatibleones are used, they may damage internal parts of thisproduct or they may work loose and the product maybecome detached.English
