20EnPreparation05Preventing the plasma display fromfalling overAfter installing the stand, be sure to take special care to ensurethat the plasma display will not fall over and is stabilized to boththe wall and rack.Stabilizing on a table or rackStabilize the plasma display as shown in the diagram using thesupplied plastic bands and screws.Note• To stabilize the plasma display on a table or rack, also usecommercially available wood screws that have a nominaldiameter of 4 mm (5/32 inch) and that are at least 20 mm(13/16 inch) long.Drill a hole in the middle at the rear of the tabletop panel beforeusing a wood screw. Perform this work the same way on the leftand right sides.Using a wall for stabilization1 Attach falling prevention bolts (hooks) to the plasmadisplay.2 Use strong cords to stabilize it appropriately andfirmly to a wall, pillar, or other sturdy element.Perform this work in the same way on the left and right sides.Note• Use hooks, cords and fittings that are available on the market.Recommended hook: Nominal diameter 8 mm, length 12 mmto 18 mm (0.5 inches to 0.7 inches)Caution• A table or rack with adequate strength should always be usedto support the plasma display.
