Install this unit away from hot places such asnear the heater outlet.• Optimum performance is obtained when the unit isinstalled at an angle of less than 60°DIN Front/Rear-mountThis unit can be properly installed either from"Front" (conventional DIN Front-mount) or"Rear" (DIN Rear-mount installation, utilizingthreaded screw holes at the sides of unitchassis). For details, refer to the followinginstallation methods.DIN Front-mountInstallation with the rubber bush1. Insert the mounting sleeve into thedashboard.• When installing in a shallow space, use asupplied mounting sleeve. If there is enoughspace behind the unit. use factory suppliedmounting sleeve.2. Secure the mounting sleeve byusing a screwdriver to bend themetal tabs (90°) into place.(~ E_"~g~li_sh_)3. Install the unit as illustrated.Removing the Unit1. Extend top and bottom of the trimring outwards to remove the trimring. When reattaching the trim ring,push the trim ring onto the unit untilit clicks. (If the trim ring is attachedupside down, the trim ring will notfit properly.)• It becomes easy to remove the trim ring if thefront panel is released.2. Insert the supplied extraction keysinto both sides of the unit until theyclick into place.3. Pull the unit out of the dashboard.
