When noise spoils the reception of an FMprogram, press the switch to the on position (the FM MONOindicator will now light).The program of an FM stereo broadcast will be heard in mono.The setting of the FM MONO switch (on or off) is memorizedalong with the station's frequency in the STATION CALLswitches. iWhen using the preset tuning feature, reception will be in the |mode selected when the station was memorized.This switch will not function for AM (MW or LW) reception. |SELECT (1-12/13-24) switch/indicatorThis switch is used to set the STATION CALL switches to either Mode 1{Stations 1—12) or Mode 2 (Stations 13-24). To put the unit in Mode 2,press this switch. The indicator is lit up during Mode 2.NOTE:Changing the position of this switch has no effect on tuner per-formance itself.FREQUENCY displayPermits reading the received frequency at a glance from thedispiayed figure. The FM band is indicated by MHz, and theAM (MW or LW) band by kHz.TUNING switchThis is used to locate the stations.Push either side of this switch; the left side “—" to go to alower, and the right side “+” to go to a higher frequency.STEREO indicatorThis lights when a stereo program has been picked up duringan FM broadcast.TUNED indicatorThis lights to indicate when the finest tuning of a station hasbeen achieved.STATION CALL switchesThese are used to recall preset broadcasting stations and topreset the station.MEMORY switchThis switch is used to memorize stations. When the switch ispressed, the frequency display will flash.
