23Before calling an Engineer please carry out thefollowing checks, you may be able to solve theproblem without the expense of an Engineer.If our Service Engineer finds that the problem islisted below you will be charged for the call whetheror not the appliance is under guarantee.The appliance does not work at all:* Check that the appliance has been wired inand is switched on at the wall.* Check that the main appliance fuse isworking.The grill works but the top oven does not:* Check that the top oven door is closingproperly.The oven temperature is too high or low:* Check that the recommended temperaturesare being used (see page 16). Be preparedto adjust the temperature up or down by10°C to achieve the results you want.The ovens work but the grill does not:* Check that you have carefully followed theinstructions for operation of the grill.* If the cooling fan fails the grill will notoperate correctly.Please call your local Service Force Centre.If the oven is not cooking evenly or the sideopening door will not stay open:* Check that the appliance is level.The oven light fails to illuminate:* If you have had your appliance for severalmonths you may need to replace the lightbulb (se page 22).The oven fan is noisy:* Check that the oven is level.* Check that bakeware and shelves are notvibrating in contact with the back panel inthe oven.The hob burners will not light:* Ensure the burner parts have been placedcorrectly.
