It is recommend-ed to use a screen-saver.When an error is detected, the camera will restart auto-matically.This camera will restart when detecting an error caused byany reason. The camera will be inoperable for around 1minute after the restart just as when the power is turned on.Cleaning the camera bodyTurn the power off when cleaning of the camera. Use a drycloth to clean the camera. When the dirt is hard to remove,use a mild detergent and wipe gently. Then, wipe with a drycloth.Do not use strong abrasive detergent when cleaning thecamera body. Otherwise, it may cause discoloration.When using a chemical cloth for cleaning, read the cautionprovided with the chemical cloth product.Cleaning the lensUse a lens cleaning paper (used to clean camera lenses orlenses of spectacles). When using solvent, use an alcoholssolvent. Do not use a thinner or a glass cleaner.SD memory card• When insert a SD memory card into the SD memorycard slot, turn the power of the camera off. Otherwise, itmay cause malfunction or damage data recorded onthe SD memory card.Refer to page 16 for descriptions of how toinsert/remove a SD memory card.• When using an unformatted SD memory card, format itusing this camera.Recorded data on the SD memory card will be deletedwhen formatted.If using an unformatted SD memory card or using a SDcard formatted with other device, the camera may notwork properly or performance deterioration may becaused.Refer to the Operating Instructions (PDF) for descrip-tions of how to format a SD memory card.• It is recommended to use Panasonic's SD memorycard.Otherwise, the camera may not work properly or perfor-mance deterioration may be caused.• Images saved on the SD memory card may lead to per-sonal information leakage. When it is necessary to givethe camera to someone, even when for repair, makesure the SD memory card is removed from the camera.Grounding (GND)Confirm that the grounding is connected correctly and firm-ly.When using the power plug equipped with a groundingdevice such as a ground pin, confirm that the groundingresistance is less than 100 Ω.Before connecting the camera to the power source, confirmthat the grounding is complete.When it is necessary to disconnect the grounding, detachthe power plug from the power source first.Connection with the power supplyConnect the power cable in the following method:1. Connect the power plug through the power supply con-trol unit.2. Install the unit near an AC outlet and connect the powercable through a power shutoff system.3. Connect the power cable with a circuit breaker of a dis-tribution board with contact length of 3.0 mm. A circuitbreaker must be capable to shut off all polarities of themain power except the ground conductor.
