8About the dehumidifying device• The camera has dehumidifying device tokeep the inside at low moisture level,preventing condensation and quickly dis-sipating dew if produced.• Dew may be produced depending on theconditions of temperature, humidity,winds, and rain, and it may take time todehumidify.• Never seal the surfaces of the dehumidi-fying device.Turn the circuit breaker off which suppliesthe camera with the power when abnormalconditions are encountered.Observe the following for installation.• This apparatus is designed to beinstalled under eaves. Install this appara-tus under eaves to avoid direct sunlight.• If this apparatus is installed outdoorswithout eaves, ensure the same circum-stances as being under eaves.Avoid installing in the following locations.• Locations where a chemical agent isused such as a swimming pool• Locations subject to steam and oil smokesuch as a kitchen• Locations near flammable gas or vapor• Locations where radiation or x-ray emis-sions are produced• Locations subject to strong magneticfield or radio waves• Locations where corrosive gas is pro-duced• Locations where it may be damaged bybriny air such as seashores• Locations where the temperature is notwithin –10 °C - +50 °C.• Locations subject to vibrations (Thisproduct is not designed for on-vehicleuse.)Installing placeContact your dealer for assistance if you areunsure of an appropriate place in your partic-ular environment.Make sure that the installation area is strongenough to hold the camera, such as a con-crete ceiling.When the installation area is not strongenough, reinforce and strengthen it or useMounting Bracket (WV-CW484F: option, WV-CW480S: provided) or Ceiling MountBracket. (Refer to p. 46 Optional Acces-sories.).Do not install the camera in a humid ordust-laden environment.Otherwise, lifetime of the internal parts maybe shortened.Be sure to remove this apparatus if it isnot in use.Radio interferenceWhen the camera is used near TV/radioantenna, strong electric field or magneticfield (near a motor or a transformer), imagesmay be distorted and noise sound may beproduced.Mounting screwsOnly the fixing screws are provided to fix thecamera with the provided mounting bracket.It is necessary to procure screws or bolts tomount the camera. Prepare them accordingto the material and strength of the area wherethe camera is to be installed.
