9Precautions• Refer all work related to the installation of thisappliance to qualified service personnel or systeminstallers.• Do not block the ventilation opening or slots on thecover.To prevent the appliance from overheating, place it atleast 5 cm {2 inches} away from the wall.• Do not drop metallic parts through slots.This could permanently damage the appliance. Turnthe power off immediately and contact qualified servicepersonnel for service.• Do not attempt to disassemble the appliance.To prevent electric shock, do not remove screws orcovers.There are no user-serviceable parts inside. Contactqualified service personnel for maintenance.• Handle the appliance with care.Do not strike or shake, as this may damage the appli-ance.• Do not expose the appliance to water or moisture.Do not try to operate it in wet areas.Take immediate action if the appliance gets wet. Turnthe power off and refer servicing to qualified servicepersonnel. Moisture can damage the appliance andalso cause electric shocks.• Do not use strong or abrasive detergents whencleaning the appliance body.Use a dry cloth to clean the appliance when it is dirty.When the dirt is hard to remove, use a mild detergentand wipe gently.• Do not operate the appliance beyond its specifiedtemperature, humidity, or power source ratings.Use the appliance at temperatures within +5 °C to+45 °C {41 °F to 113 °F} and humidity below 90 %.The input power source for NTSC model is 120 V AC60 Hz, for PAL model is 220 V - 240 V AC 50 Hz.• We recommend that you make a note of your set-tings and save them.This will help you when a system configuration changeis required or when an unexpected trouble or failureoccurs.• Distributing, copying, disassembling, reverse com-piling, reverse engineering, and also exporting inviolation of export laws of the software providedwith this product, is expressly prohibited.• We encourage you to obtain and read all the relateddocuments in p. 11 References and become familiarwith the CPU and other related devices and soft-ware.• Built-in backup batteryThe built-in battery life is approximately 3 years as anindication of replacement. (This is just an indication ofreplacement. We are not providing any guarantee ofthe built-in battery lifetime. Replacement cost of thebuilt-in battery is not covered by the warranty even if itneeds to be done within the warranty period.) Consultyour dealer for servicing.• Cooling FanTurn the power off when cleaning the unit. Otherwise itmay cause injuries.The cooling fan will operate for approximately 30 000hours. Replacement costs of the cooling fan are notcovered by the warranty even if it needs to be donewithin the warranty period. Consult your dealer for ser-vicing.• Hard Disk DriveThe hard disk drive will operate for approximately30 000 hours. Replacement costs of the hard disk driveare not covered by the warranty even if it needs to bedone within the warranty period. Consult your dealer forservicing.
