Incident light that contains largequantities of infrared rays can prevent properfunctioning. Move light sources as far away from thetouch panel as possible.Fluorescent light:Does not produce infrared light, so it doesnot cause problems.Sunlight:Locate the touch panel where it is notexposed to direct sunlight.White candescent light:Contains the most infrared light and canreadily affect the touch panel. Move lightsources as far away from the touch panel aspossible.―Is anything nearby(generators, motors, etc.)generating strong noise?Strong external noise can cause the microcomputerinside the touch panel to malfunction, therefore keepnoise sources as far away as possible.―The touchpanel doesnot work.Is the USB cableconnecting the touchpanel and computer?Connect the USB cable. 16Has the Driver softwarebeen started up? Start up the Driver software. 20Has the OS been startedup?Start up the OS. If “Complete” is selected wheninstalling the Driver software, the Driver softwarestarts up at the same time as the OS.―Is the device driverinstalled?Check that the device driver has been installed. If ithasn’t, install it. ―Were you touching thetouch panel when theDriver software wasstarted up?If you are touching the touch panel when theDriver software starts up, a self-check error occurs,causing the touch panel not to work. Restart theDriver software without touching the touch panel.―Did anything touch thetouch panel while theDriver software wasstarting up?If anything touches the touch panel while the Driversoftware is starting up, a self-check error occurs,causing the touch panel not to work. Check thesurface of the touch panel and the infrared rayreflecting surface for obstructions such as dirt, andrestart the Driver software.―Is the click mode on?Start up the setup panel and select the mode thatbest suits your needs from “Click mode” pull-downmenu.22, 23Has the device driverbeen detected? Update the device driver. ―If you think the touch panel is broken or if it is not operating correctly, check the following before calling forservice.
