TroubleshootingSQT0802 107Cannot play back.• The disc is dirty. (> 10)• The disc is scratched or marked.• The disc may not be able to play back if it wasnot finalised or a Top Menu was not created onthe equipment used for recording.• Refer to “Screen icons”. (> 44)• Depending on the encrypted service, it may notbe possible to play back certain titles if theyhave been recorded without being decrypted.Audio and video momentarily pause.• DVD-R DL and +R DL discs have two writablelayers on one side. Video and audio maymomentarily cut out when the unit is switchinglayers.Image for the Quick View is not smooth.• Image may not be played back smoothly in caseof high definition titles.Cannot play the disc on other players.• Refer to “Play on other players”. (> 10)Cannot edit.• You may not be able to edit on the HDD if thereis no available space. Delete any unwantedtitles to create empty space. (> 53)The contents of the SD card cannot be read.• Remove the card from the slot and then insertagain. If this does not solve the problem, switchthe unit to standby mode and turn it on again.Photos do not play back normally.• The images that were edited on the PC, such asProgressive JPEG, etc., may not play back.(> 8)This unit does not recognize the USB devicecorrectly.• If inserted during playback the USB device maynot be recognized by this unit.Disconnect and reconnect the USB device. If itstill does not recognize the connection, switchthe unit to standby mode and turn it on again.• USB devices connected using a USB extensioncable other than a dedicated one or a USB hubmay not be recognized by this unit.The TV Guide information is not displayedproperly.• Set the clock correctly. (> 97, Clock)• There was a programme change, or TV Guideinformation from a broadcast station waspossibly not correctly transmitted.• If signal quality is bad, the TV Guide systemmay not be able to receive any data.• It may take time until the TV Guide screen isdisplayed correctly. Wait for about a day.PlayYou have forgotten your rating PIN.• The rating level returns to the factory preset.1 While the unit is on, press and hold [OK], theyellow button and the blue button at thesame time for more than 5 seconds.• “00 RET” is displayed on the front paneldisplay.2 Repeatedly press [1] (right) until “03 VL” isdisplayed on the front panel display.3 Press [OK].• “Init” is displayed on the front panel display.EditPhotoUSBTV Guide |
