36 USB Device Mode:USB Device ModeA USB 2.0 connection with a PC allows you to use P2 cardsinserted in the slots on this unit as mass storage. Note that aseparate USB driver (found on the supplied CD-ROM) mustalso be installed on the PC.Use of P2 viewer, which can be downloaded from thefollowing site, free of charge, allows you to manipulate clipsstored on a P2 card on a Windows PC.For details on the URL (➝ “Website URL” page 2)◆ NOTE:• For details regarding connections, refer to the OperatingInstructions supplied with the PC and the application software.1 Press the MODE button when this unit is idle.2 Select USB DEVICE in the confirmation dialog andpress the SET button.“USB DEVICE” flashes on the LCD monitor to indicate thatthe unit is entering the USB host mode. After the modeswitch, “USB DEVICE DISCONNECT” appears on the LCDmonitor.This message is replaced by a “USB DEVICE CONNECT”message when the connection with the PC is completed.◆ NOTE:• Selecting 3D REC/PB or SYNC PB mode disables modechanges until communications with the slave device areestablished.
