CS Series Scales Quick Start GuideCS Series Scales Quick Start Guide iiDISPLAYOPERATIONPlace the scale on a horizontal flat surface.Power Up test: All display segments appear briefly on power up.Once 0 appears, the scale is ready for use.The on left indicates the a stable reading.Press UNIT/CAL to switch weighing units: ounces, Newtons, gramsOverload: If the applied load exceeds the capacity of the scale,E appears. Remove the load immediately.The scale will return to normal operation.TARE: Values can be added progressively to a sample:Press ON/ZERO OFF, the scale display returns to zero.Add more weight, press ON/ZERO OFF to zero the scale again.Add weight up to the capacity of the scale.Place a container on the platform (eg, 20 grams).Press ON/ZERO OFF. The display shows 0.00.Add material to the container (eg, 25 grams).Display shows weight of material – not the container.When container and material are removed, display will showweight of container as negative value.
