Replacement filters can be obtainedfrom retailers or customer service (see“Accessories”).After every filter change the filter must firstbe rinsed. Proceed as described at the be-ginning of this section.If no new filter is used, turn the water filtersetting to Off.You can find detailed informationabout the water filter in the en-closed filter instructions.If the appliance has not been usedfor a prolonged period (e.g. duringyour vacation) the filter should berinsed before the appliance is usedagain. To do this, simply dispense acup of hot water.Further entries in the Settings menu:Descale: If you want to descale the appli-ance, press z (6) and run the descalingprogramme (see “Descaling”).Clean: If you want to clean the appliance,press z (6) and run the cleaningprogramme (see “Cleaning”).Calc‘n‘Clean: If you want to descale andclean the appliance at the same time, pressz (6) and run the Calc‘n‘Clean pro-gramme (see “Calc‘n‘Clean“).Factory settings: You can cancel your ownsettings and reset to the factory settings. Toactivate the factory settings, press z (6).The appliance can also be reset tothe factory settings as follows:1. Switch the appliance off fully at thepower switch O/I (7).2. Press Y (2) and Z (5) at the same time,hold them down, and switch the applianceon again at the power switch O/I (7).The factory settings are reactivated.Set per-cup quantityThe per-cup quantity can be adjustedindividually to suit your cups. It can be setseparately for each type of drink and eachcup size.1. To call up the default settings, keep i (1)depressed for at least 3 seconds.2. Select Cup volume with the retractablenavigation button (4).3. Press Z (5).4. Select the type of beverage with the re-tractable navigation button (4).5. Press Z (5).6. Select the cup size with the retractablenavigation button (4).7. Press Z (5).8. Adjust the beverage quantity with theretractable navigation button (4).Y (2) returns you to cup size and drinkselection. To quit the default settings, pressi (1). The settings are stored.Important: The selected amountin ml is an approximate value andcan vary significantly as a result ofcrema forming, the grind setting orthe type of milk used, etc.
