Part Number 020002365 08/25/2015 13Section 2 InstallationGROUNDING INSTRUCTIONSnWarningThe beverage/ice machine must be grounded inaccordance with national and local electrical codes.This appliance must be grounded. In the event ofmalfunction or breakdown, grounding provides a pathof least resistance for electric current to reduce therisk of electric shock. This appliance is equipped with acord having an equipment-grounding conductor anda grounding plug. The plug must be plugged into anappropriate outlet that is properly installed and groundedin accordance with all local codes and ordinances.nWarningImproper connection of the equipment-groundingconductor can result in a risk of electric shock. Theconductor with insulation having an outer surface thatis green with or without yellow stripes is the equipmentgrounding conductor. If repair or replacement ofthe cord or plug is necessary, do not connect theequipment-grounding conductor to a live terminal.Check with a qualified electrician or serviceman if thegrounding instructions are not completely understood,or if in doubt as to whether the appliance is properlygrounded. Do not modify the plug provided with theappliance — if it will not fit the outlet. Have a properoutlet installed by a qualified electrician.nWarningWhen using electric appliances, basic precautions mustalways be followed, including the following:a. Read all the instructions before using theappliance.b. To reduce the risk of injury, close supervisionis necessary when an appliance is used nearchildren.c. Do not contact moving parts.d. Only use attachments recommended or sold bythe manufacturer.e. Do not use outdoors.f. For a cord-connected appliance, the followingshall be included:• Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug,grasp the plug, not the cord.• Unplug from outlet when not in use andbefore servicing or cleaning.• Do not operate any appliance with adamaged cord or plug, or after the appliancemalfunctions or is dropped or damaged inany manner. Contact the nearest authorizedservice facility for examination, repair, orelectrical or mechanical adjustment.g. For a permanently connected appliance — Turnthe power switch to the off position when theappliance is not in use and before servicing orcleaning.h. For an appliance with a replaceable lamp —Always unplug before replacing the lamp.Replace the bulb with the same type.i. For a grounded appliance — Connect to aproperly grounded outlet only. See GroundingInstructions. |
