If you find a problem that is not explained in the manual,do not attempt to dismantle the tool, machine, or unit. Instead, ask Makita Authorized Service Centers, always usingMakita replacement parts for repairs.State of abnormality Main power lamp Cause RemedyThe tool or machine doesnot start.- The charger is connected to theunit.Remove the charger from the unit.The lamp lights up ingreen.The adapters are not installed to thetool or machine.Install the adapters to the tool ormachine.Check that the adapters areinstalled securely.The tool or machine, or the cords ofthe adapters are overheated.Cool down the tool or machine, unitand adapter. After cooling down,power off and then power on again.The tool or machine, or the unit isbroken.Ask Makita Authorized ServiceCenters for repair.The lamp blinks in green. The plug of the adapter or powertool/machine and the socket of thebattery are not connected.Connect the plug and the socket.Check that the plug and socket areconnected securely.The unit is overheated, or thetemperature of the unit is low.Cool down the unit, or warm upthe unit.The remaining battery capacity isnot enough.Charge the battery.The lamp blinks in red andgreen alternately.The unit has detected anabnormality.Turn off the unit, and then back on.The tool or machine, or the unit isbroken.Ask Makita Authorized ServiceCenters for repair.The lamp does not light up. The unit is not turned on. Turn on the unit.The remaining battery capacity isnot enough.Charge the battery.The unit is broken. Ask Makita Authorized ServiceCenters for repair.Charging does not startwhen the charger isconnected.The lamp blinks in red.
