16 ENGLISHIndicating the remaining batterycapacityPress the power button on the unit to indicate theremaining battery capacity. The indicator lamps light upfor approximately 5 seconds.Indicator lamps RemainingcapacityLighted Off Blinking75% to 100%50% to 75%25% to 50%0% to 25%Charge thebattery.The batterymay havemalfunctioned.NOTE: Depending on the conditions of use and theambient temperature, the indication may differ slightlyfrom the actual capacity.NOTE: If the tool or machine has indicator lamps forremaining battery capacity, do not refer to the indica-tor lamps of the tool or machine but to the indicatorlamps of this unit.NOTE: If the multiple indicator lamps blink, the bat-tery is overheated. In this case, cool down the battery.Tool/Machine/Battery protectionsystemThe tool or machine is equipped with a tool or machineand battery protection system. This system automat-ically cuts off power to the motor to extend tool ormachine and battery life. The tool or machine will auto-matically stop during operation if the tool, machine, orbattery is placed under one of the following conditions:Overload protectionWhen the tool, machine, or battery is operated in amanner that causes it to draw an abnormally highcurrent, the tool or machine automatically stops. Inthis situation, turn the tool or machine off and stop theapplication that caused the tool or machine to becomeoverloaded. Then turn the tool or machine on to restart.Overheat protectionWhen the tool, machine, or battery is overheated, thetool or machine automatically stops. In this case, let thetool or machine and battery cool before turning the toolor machine on again.Overdischarge protectionWhen the battery capacity is not enough, the tool ormachine stops automatically and an indicator lampblinks when you press the power button. In this case,remove the battery from the tool or machine and chargethe battery.Low battery indication lamp ofAdapter for 36 V - 40 V maxOptional accessoryThis adapter features the indication lamp that notifiesyou of low or no battery capacity.When the indication lamp is blinking, the remainingbattery capacity gets low.When the indication lamp lights up, the battery capacityis depleted or battery protection system is activated.NOTE: When using the tool/machine continuously,tool/machine may automatically stop without blinkingthe indication lamp.NOTE: The timing when the indication lamp blinksvaries depending on the ambient temperature andbattery status.► Fig.5: 1.
