11 ENGLISH2. Overcurrent protectionWhen the appliance / battery is operated in amanner that causes it to draw an abnormally highcurrent, the appliance automatically stops. In thissituation, stop the application that caused theappliance to become overloaded. Then turn theappliance on to restart.3. Low-voltage protectionWhen the car input voltage is lower than the ratedvoltage, this protection system turns off the appli-ance and the temperature display shows “F3” withbeep sound.4. Over-voltage protectionWhen the input voltage is higher than the ratedvoltage, this protection system turns off the appli-ance and the temperature display shows “F4” withbeep sound.5. Short circuit protectionThe circuit has short circuit protection function in caseof short circuit. In this situation, take the appliance toMakita Authorized or Factory Service Centers.Tilt protection functionThe appliance is equipped with the tilt protection func-tion. When operating the appliance in cooling mode, theappliance will automatically shuts down if the applianceis placed under one of the following angles.A) When the appliance get equal to or greater than30° from level angle as shown A in the figure, theappliance shuts down and the temperature displayshows “F1” for a while. It takes 3 minutes to restartafter the appliance back in level position.► Fig.4B) When the appliance get equal to or greater than30° from level angle as shown B in the figure, theappliance shuts down and the temperature displayshows “F1” for a while. TheUSB port continuously outputs 5V voltage in operationstate.Memory functionAfter setting the control temperature, if the user doesnot operate within 5 seconds, the current setting will bememorized. Next time, the appliance starts in the samesetting.Switching the unit of temperatureYou can switch the unit of temperature °C (degreeCelsius) or °F (degree Fahrenheit) by followingprocedure.1. Turn on the appliance.2. Press the cool / heat switch button until the unit(°C or °F) starts flashing.3. Press the temperature plus button or the tempera-ture reduction button to select unit.4. Press the cool / heat switch button, or leave theappliance 5 seconds without any operation. Theunit selection is completed.Shoulder belt1. Put the belt through left and right handles.2. Buckle the belt.► Fig.8Error codeFor the specific errors, the temperature display showsfollowing code.Error code MatterF1 Tilt protection is active.Refer the section for the tilt protection function.F2 Running out of battery.F3 Input voltage is low.Refer the paragraph for the car inputprotection.F4 Input voltage is high.Refer the paragraph for the overvoltageprotection.F5 Something is wrong with the sensor in theappliance. Take the appliance to MakitaAuthorized or Factory Service Centers.MAINTENANCECAUTION: Always be sure that the applianceis switched off, unplugged, and the battery car-tridge is removed before attempting to performinspection or maintenance.NOTICE: Never use gasoline, benzine, thinner,alcohol or the like. Discoloration, deformation orcracks may result.To maintain product SAFETY and RELIABILITY,repairs, any other maintenance or adjustment shouldbe performed by Makita Authorized or Factory ServiceCenters, always using Makita replacement parts. |
