If youattempt repair ormaintenance while thecompressor is operating orplugged in, you canexpose yourself to movingparts. These moving partscan cause serious injury.Contact with hot partssuch as the compressorhead or outlet tubes couldresult in a serious skinburn.HOW TO PREVENT ITUse an approvedrespirator designed foruse with your specificapplication.• Always wear approvedsafety glasses with sideshields when using thecompressor.• Never point any nozzleor sprayer toward anypart of the body or atother people or animals.• Always turn thecompressor off and bleedpressure from the air linebefore attemptingmaintenance, attachingtools or accessories.• Always unplug thecompressor andrelease air pressurefrom the tank and anyattachments beforeattempting anymaintenance or repair.• Never operate thecompressor with guardsor covers which aredamaged or removed.• Never touch hotcomponents during orimmediately afteroperation of thecompressor. Do notreach around protectiveshrouds or attemptmaintenance until unithas been allowedto cool.
