10 ENGLISHTo remove the blade, use the socket wrench to loosenthe hex bolt holding the center cover by turning it coun-terclockwise. Raise the blade guard and center cover.1342► 1. Center cover 2. Socket wrench 3. Hex bolt4. Blade guardPress the shaft lock to lock the spindle and use thesocket wrench to loosen the hex bolt clockwise. Thenremove the hex bolt, outer flange and blade.12► 1. Socket wrench 2. Shaft lockTo install the blade, mount it carefully onto the spindle,making sure that the direction of the arrow on the sur-face of the blade matches the direction of the arrow onthe blade case.Install the outer flange and hex bolt, and then use thesocket wrench to tighten the hex bolt (left-handed)securely counterclockwise while pressing the shaft lock.1 2 435► 1. Then tighten the hex bolt clockwise to securethe center cover. Release the handle from the raisedposition by pulling the stopper pin. Lower the handle tomake sure that the blade guard moves properly. Makesure shaft lock has released spindle before making cut.Connecting a vacuum cleanerWhen you wish to perform clean cutting operation,connect a Makita vacuum cleaner.Dust bag123► 1. Dust nozzle 2. Dust bag 3. FastenerThe use of the dust bag makes cutting operations clean and dustcollection easy. To attach the dust bag, fit it onto the dust nozzle.When the dust bag is about half full, remove the dust bagfrom the tool and pull the fastener out. Empty the dust bag ofits contents, tapping it lightly so as to remove particles adher-ing to the insides which might hamper further collection. |
