Make sure that the pin (5) of the chaintensioner engages in the hole in the guide bar.Turn chain tensioning screw (4) to the left (counter-clockwise)until the pin (5) of the chain tensioner is underneath thethreaded pin (6).Mounting the guide bar and saw chainUse the universal wrench delivered with the chain saw for thefollowing work.Put the chain saw on a stable surface and carry out thefollowing steps for mounting the guide bar and saw chain:Release the chain brake by pulling the hand guard (1) indirection of arrow.Unscrew retaining nuts (2).Pull off the sprocket guard (3).PUTTING INTO OPERATIONCAUTION:Before doing any work on the guide bar or chain, alwaysswitch off the engine and pull the plug cap off the sparkplug (see "Replacing the spark plug"). Always wear protec-tive gloves!CAUTION:Start the chain saw only after having assembled it com-pletely and inspected.
