The food or drink may rot.NOTE: When operating the appliance in high humidenvironment, dew condensation may occur on theappliance. This is not malfunction of the appliance.Use a dry cloth to wipe the dew condensation off theappliance.1. Connecting the power supplyA) BatteryCAUTION: Always switch off the tool beforeinstalling or removing the battery cartridge.CAUTION: Hold the appliance and the batterycartridge firmly when installing or removingbattery cartridge. Failure to hold the appliance andthe battery cartridge firmly may cause them to slip offyour hands and result in damage to the appliance andbattery cartridge and a personal injury.CAUTION: Be careful not to pinch your fingerwhen opening or closing the battery cover.CAUTION: Be careful not to pinch yourfingers between the battery cartridge and theterminals. It may cause slash injury.To install the battery cartridge, open the battery cover.Align the tongue on the battery cartridge with the groovein the housing and slip it into place. Insert it all the wayuntil it locks in place with a little click.Then close the battery cover.To remove the battery cartridge, slide it from the appli-ance while sliding the button on the front of the cartridge.► Fig.2 1. Red indicator 2. Button 3. Battery cartridgeCAUTION: Always install the battery cartridgefully until the red indicator cannot be seen. If not,it may accidentally fall out of the appliance, causinginjury to you or someone around you.CAUTION: Do not install the battery cartridgeforcibly. If the cartridge does not slide in easily, it isnot being inserted correctly.NOTE: Up to two battery cartridges can be installed,although the appliance uses one battery cartridge foroperation.B) AC adaptor (Only use forrecreational vehicle)Optional accessoryWhen using the appliance with AC power, use the ACadaptor supplied with the appliance. Insert the plug to"DC IN" inlet of the appliance and then insert the otherend to an outlet.When the appliance is operating with power from ACadaptor, the lamp of "DC IN" lights up.C) Cigarette lighter adaptorWhen using the appliance with the cigarette lighter socket,use the cigarette lighter adaptor supplied with the appli-ance. Insert the plug to "DC IN" inlet of the appliance andthen insert the other end to the cigarette lighter socket.When the appliance is operating with power from cigarettelighter adaptor, the lamp of "DC IN" lights up.CAUTION: Insert the plug completely into the"DC IN" inlet. Failure to do so may deform the plugor cause a fire.CAUTION: Always close the "DC IN" socketcover firmly when the power cord is not plugged.Otherwise foreign matter may enter the appliance andcause a malfunction.NOTE: When the appliance shifts power supply, thecompressor will stop for about 3 minutes to protect thecompressor.NOTE: After turning off the appliance, it takes about 3minutes to restart the compressor because of the pro-tection of the compressor.NOTE: If the appliance stops by any means other thanpressing the power button, the appliance turns onautomatically when the power supply of the AC adaptoror the cigarette lighter adaptor is regained.2. Turning on the appliancePress the power button to turn on the appliance. Pressthe power button again to turn off the appliance.3. Switching cooling / heating modePress the cool / heat switch button to switch theoperating mode.• When the appliance operates in cooling mode, thelamp of cooling mode lights up.• When the appliance operates in heating mode, thelamp of heating mode lights up.The temperature display flashes the control temperature. |
