FP 50 DIssue: 04/2011666 4 12 Changing and Lubricating the Felt Disk of the Mechanical Friction• Remove the knurled nut, the spring,the friction plate and the felt disk onthe friction shaft (arrow).• Once in a year the felt disk shouldbe put in a Cardan oil bath. If the feltdisk is worn (surface is hardened) ithas to be changed and oiled.• Mount the friction again.• Thread a film and adjust the friction(see chapter before).6 4 13 Adjusting the Tension of the Friction Toothed Belt• To tension the toothed belt loosenthe 2 Allen locking screws (arrows)of the tension jack.• Move the tension jack up to tensionthe toothed belt.• Fasten the locking screws again.X NOTEDue to the moved gear on the tension check, you have to check the chain tension and ifnecessary to adjust it.
