1 Calibration Procedures50 Keysight U1241C/U1242C Service GuideAdjustment procedure1 Turn the rotary switch to the respective test function position as shown inTable 1-15 detailing the adjustment input values.2 Unsecure the multimeter to enter the adjustment mode. See “Unsecuring theMultimeter for Calibration” on page 35.3 Verify that the security code you entered is correct. If it is correct, themultimeter will display the reference input value of the next calibration item.will appear briefly on the secondary display. See Table 1-15 for the listand sequence of all the calibration items.4 Enter the same value as a reference value on the primary display to the correctterminals. Then press to start the calibration.5 Check whether the right standard value has been applied or refer to“Calibration Error Codes” on page 54.6 Repeat step 4 and step 5 until calibration has completed for all calibrationvalues.7 Press or turn the rotary switch to select other values to be calibrated.Repeat step 6 and step 8.NOTE Review the “Test Considerations” on page 24 and “Adjustment considerations”on page 42 before beginning the adjustment procedure.HoldLogNOTE During calibration, the uncalibrated value is indicated on the primary display andbar graph with indicated on the secondary display. The multimeter willautomatically check whether or not to save the calibration value. If the calibrationvalue passes the check, will appear briefly on the secondary display andthe value is saved before moving on to the next step. If the value is out of theacceptable range, it will continue to display the current calibration value after anerror code is indicated briefly.ShiftEscView
