Set-Up & First BrewIMPORTANT: You cannot use your KeurigBrewer until it has been primed for its first useas set forth below.Priming Your Brewer1. Unwrap cord and plug the Brewer into agrounded outlet.2. Place a 12 oz. mug on the Drip Tray Plate.3. Remove the Water Reservoir from Brewerby first removing Lid from Reservoir, thenlifting Reservoir straight up and toward frontof Brewer. Rinse with fresh water.4. Fill Water Reservoir with bottled or filteredwater so that the water level is just belowthe top edge of the reservoir.5. Place Water Reservoir into the left side ofthe Brewer and be sure the WaterReservoir Lock Tab engages with theBrewer. Replace Lid on Water Reservoir.6. Press and release the Power Switch founddirectly behind the Brewer. Switch is springloaded and will return to original position.7. The Blue LCD Control Center will come onand indicate ‘PRIME’ and the ‘BREW’Button will flash. Please note, a K-Cupshould NOT be used for the PrimingSequence.8. Press the ‘BREW’ Button.9. The Brewer will automatically fill with water(priming it) and then the water will beheated. This will take about 4 minutes.During the heating period ‘NOT READY’ isdisplayed on the LCD Control Center. Oncethe water is heated, ‘READY TO BREW’ willbe displayed and the ‘BREW’ Button will flash.10. Press the ‘BREW’ Button to start a cleans-ing brew, during which hot water will flowinto your mug. When the flow stops, dis-card the hot water.11. The one-time priming process is nowcomplete and you are ready to brew yourfirst cup!6NOTE: You may see small amounts of watercoming from the Vent and dripping into theWater Reservoir during this and subsequentheating – this is normal.NOTE: If the Water Reservoir is empty ornot in place on the Brewer, then the LCDControl Center will indicate ‘ADD WATER’ andtank LED’s will flash. None of the Buttons willbe active until water is added to the WaterReservoir.NOTE: If Brewer has been exposed to tempera-tures below freezing, allow Brewer at least twohours to reach room temperature before prim-ing. A frozen or extremely cold Brewer will notprime properly and can cause damage.NOTE: The Brewer may take 15-30 secondsto reheat water between brews and then‘READY TO BREW’ will be displayed.
