Cleaning External PartsRegular cleaning of the Brewer’s externalcomponents is recommended.1. Never immerse the base unit in water orother liquids. The Housing and other exter-nal components may be cleaned with asoapy, damp, non-abrasive cloth.2. The Drip Tray can accumulate up to 12ounces of overflow. The Drip Tray and DripTray Plate should be periodically inspectedand rinsed clean. To remove the Drip TrayAssembly, simply slide it toward you, keep-ing it level at all times to avoid spilling.The Drip Tray and Drip Tray Plate are dish-washer safe.Cleaning the K-Cup ® Portion PackHolder Assembly1. Cleaning the PartsThe K-Cup Holder Assembly is dishwashersafe. To remove from the Brewer, open thecover by lifting the Handle. Grasp the top ofthe K-Cup Holder with one hand while push-ing up on the bottom of the K-Cup Holderfrom underneath with the other until it releas-es. After cleaning, align the K-Cup Holderwith the opening using the two front ribs as aguide and snap into place from the top.2. Cleaning the FunnelThe Funnel can be removed from the K-CupHolder by pulling on it until it snaps off. TheFunnel is dishwasher safe. To replace it justsnap it back onto the K-Cup Holder Assembly.3. Cleaning the Exit NeedleThe Exit Needle is located on the inside bot-tom of the K-Cup Holder Assembly. Should aclog arise due to coffee grinds, it can becleaned using a paper clip or similar tool.Remove K-Cup Holder, insert the paper clipinto the Needle to loosen the clog and push itout. The K-Cup Holder is dishwasher safe.Cleaning the Water Reservoirand Water Reservoir LidThe Water Reservoir Lid should be cleanedwith a damp soapy non-abrasive cloth. Lidshould not be put into the dishwasher.The Water Reservoir can be placed into thedishwasher for cleaning or can be cleanedwith soapy water and rinsed thoroughly.Do not dry the inside of the Water Reservoirwith a cloth as lint may remain.12SECTION 3CLEANING & MAINTENANCECAUTION: There are sharp needles thatpuncture the K-Cup above the K-Cup Holderand in the bottom of the K-Cup Holder.
