Stopping the Brew ProcessIf you need to stop the brewing after theprocess has started, press the Power Button toturn the Brewer ‘OFF’. The flow of coffeeor tea will stop, the heating element will shutoff and the blue lights illuminating the brewbuttons and Water Reservoir will disappear.Adding WaterThe LCD Control Center of your Brewer willindicate when the water level in the tank is lowor if the Water Reservoir has been removed bydisplaying the words ‘ADD WATER’. TheBrewer will not allow you to brew when ‘ADDWATER’ is displayed.The Water Reservoir can be filled in two ways.1. Lift off the Water Reservoir Lid and pourwater directly into the Water Reservoirwhile it is still attached to the Brewer, thenreplace the Lid.2. Remove the Water Reservoir from Brewerby first removing Lid from the WaterReservoir, then lifting the Water Reservoirstraight up and away from Brewer. Fill withwater. Place the Water Reservoir back onthe Brewer and replace the Lid.Brewing Hot WaterYour Brewer is able to produce a cup of hotwater for making hot chocolate, for use incooking, for making soups, etc. Simply raiseand lower the handle on the Brewer withoutadding a K-Cup® portion pack. The LCD ControlCenter will display 'READY TO BREW' and theCup, Mug and Travel Mug Buttons will blink. Besure to have a mug or cup on the Drip Tray andthen select the size you would like.Purging the BrewerIf your Brewer has not been used for morethan one week, you should purge the waterfrom the inner tank.1. If there is water in the Water Reservoir,remove the Lid, then lift the Water Reservoirstraight up and away from Brewer. Discardwater, rinse and refill with water. Place theWater Reservoir back on the Brewer andreplace the Lid. (If there is no water in theWater Reservoir, simply refill.)2. Be sure the Brewer is turned on. Raise andlower the handle on the Brewer withoutinserting a K-Cup® portion pack.3. The LCD Control Center will display 'READYTO BREW' and the Cup, Mug and TravelMug Buttons will blink. Be sure to have atravel mug on the Drip Tray and then selectthe Travel Mug size brew.4. Repeat steps 2 and 3 one more time tocompletely purge water from inner tank.If you are experiencing any problems withyour Brewer, please contact CustomerService at 1-866-901-BREW (2739).8 9SECTION 2LCD Control CenterSetting the ClockSetting the clock is optional. When the clockis set, the time will appear in the LCD ControlCenter. NOTE: You must set the clock if youwill be using the Auto On/Off Time program-ming feature.a. Press the button below 'MENU'.b. The word 'OFF' will appear at the bottomof the LCD Control Center to indicate thatthe clock is not set. The programmingoptions will appear on the LCD ControlCenter with a small arrow pointing to 'SETCLOCK'. H (Hour) and M (Minute) willappear and blink.c. Press or hold the blue Cup button underthe blinking H until you have reached theappropriate hour. If the hour has passed12, the indicator switches from AM to PM.d. Press or hold the blue Travel Mug buttonunder the blinking M to set the minutes.e. When you have reached the correct time,press the menu button five times to scrollthrough the remaining programmingoptions and exit the programming mode.f. The correct time should now be displayedin the LCD Control Center.Programing On/Off FeaturesThe Brewer provides three modes so that youcan enjoy gourmet coffee or tea on your ownschedule. By programming your Brewer toturn on each morning, you will never have towait for the Brewer to warm up to brew agourmet cup of coffee.1. Leave it ON all the time (recommended).The Brewer can be left on all the time sothat it is always ready to brew a fresh cupof gourmet coffee or tea. To turn theBrewer off at any time, simply press thePower Button. (Note: Although the clockremains on if set, you can not brew a cupof coffee or tea.) Press the Power Buttonagain to restore power to the Brewer. Youwill have to wait for the water to heat upbefore the Brewer is ready to brew.2. Set the Brewer to turn off at a specifiedperiod of time after the last brew.a. Press the MENU button twice to pro-gram the AUTO OFF feature. The LCDControl Center will now display the pro-gramming options with a small arrownext to 'SET AUTO OFF'.b. Press or hold the blue CUP button underthe blinking H to advance 1 hour at atime, up to 9 hours.CONTROLS & INDICATORSNOTE: You may get less coffee or tea inyour cup during your next brew. Werecommend that you perform a cleansingbrew with water only after a terminated brew.Then your NEXT brew will be the volumeyou have selected.IMPORTANT: Do not remove the WaterReservoir during the brewing process.NOTE: If power is interrupted to theBrewer by unplugging it, or if power islost, follow the procedure above to resetthe time as the clock will not be visibleuntil the time is set.ADDWATERNOT READYREADYSET CLOCKAUTO OFFON OFF TIMEBREW TEMPMENUH MNOTOFFREADYSET AUTO OFFCLOCKON OFF TIMEBREW TEMPMENUHNOT |
