This can be set to a value ofbetween 40 and 240 by pressing the two arrow buttons onthe control panel. Pressing the Set button confirms yourselection and then takes you back to the menu sub-itemdisplay.Observe the following points to determine your opti-mal target heart rate:› If necessary, you should undergo a sports-medi-cal exercise test on a bicycle ergometer in orderto determine your performance level and physi-cal condition.› If no data from sports-medical tests is available,you should use the following table as a guide:Heart rates differ from person to person. You can set this to a value of be-tween 0 and 99 cents by using the two arrow buttons onthe control panel to move in 1 cent steps. Pressing the Setbutton confirms your selection and then takes you back tothe menu sub-item display.5.2.3.3 Fuel consumptionYou can enter the average fuel consumption which wouldarise from the use of a car. You can set the consumptionin half-litre steps to between 0 and 20 litres. Pressingthe Set button confirms your selection and then takes youback to the menu sub-item display.The information regarding the average consumption isnecessary to enable calculation of the money and CO2saved in comparison with the use of a car. This is dis-played in the main menu of the information area under“Overall system savings”.5.2.3.4 Fuel typeUnder the sub-item “Fuel type”, you can choose betweenthe options “Petrol” and “Diesel” by pressing the arrowbuttons on the control panel. Pressing the Set button con-firms your selection and then takes you back to the menusub-item display.The information regarding fuel type is necessary to enablecalculation of the money and CO2 saved in comparisonwith the use of a car. This is displayed in the main menu ofthe information area under “Overall system savings”.5.2.4 ERGO settingsVia the menu sub-item “ERGO settings”, you can accessthe sub-items:• Target heart rate• Warning heart rate• BackYou can select the sub-items using the arrow buttons onthe control panel. Pressing the Set button takes you to therespective sub-item. By selecting the sub-item “Back” andpressing the Set button to confirm, you are taken to themenu sub-item display once more.
