12 9097698000(1)2008-04 Razor™ Plus D24 - D28 - C28ENGLISH INSTRUCTIONS FOR USEBATTERY INSTALLATION AND BATTERY TYPE SETTING (WET OR GEL)Battery installationOpen the cover (22) and check that the recovery tank (21) is empty, otherwise empty it with the drain hose (16).Grasp the handle (41) and carefully lift the tank (40).Install the batteries.Battery type settingSet the electronic board of the machine according to the type of batteries installed (WET or GEL) as shown below:Turn the ignition key (80) to “I” and, in the very irst seconds of machine operation, detect the current setting by counting thenumber of lashes of the warning lights (81a), (81b), (81c), as shown in the following table:SETTING INDICATION BATTERY TYPE CHARGING CURRENT1 4 lashes of the red warning light (81c) WETSTANDARD2 4 lashes of the green warning light (81a) GEL-AGM3 4 lashes of the yellow warning light (81b) GEL EXIDE® type4 2 lashes of the red warning light (81c) WETREDUCED (see note)5 2 lashes of the green warning light (81a) GEL-AGM6 2 lashes of the yellow warning light (81b) GEL EXIDE® typeIf the setting is to be changed, perform the following procedure.Turn off the machine by turning the ignition key (80) to “0”.Press and hold the switches (71) and (73) at the same time, then turn the ignition key (80) to “I”.Release the switches (71) and (73) at least 8 seconds after starting the machine.Within 3 seconds, shortly press the switch (73) to go to the next setting (1 to 6 in cyclic sequence).NOTEWhen performing steps 8 and 9, the settings shown in the table are shown also on the low indicator (82c) (1st LED onthe left ON = setting 1, 2nd LED on the left ON = setting 2, etc.)NOTEWhen using batteries with a capacity lower than 160Ah@5h (in case of doubt, refer to the battery documents), to avoidbattery overheating during charging procedure, use the REDUCED charging current with setting 4, 5 or 6 shown in thetable, according to the type of batteries installed.Battery chargingCharge the batteries (see the procedure in Maintenance chapter).1.2.3.4.5.6.7.8.9.10.https://harrissupplyind.com - To Order Parts Call 608-268-8080 |
