Masterpage:Right-NoTitle0EN 53Filename [VS30U_3-EN.fm]Page 53 January 31, 2002 3:40 pmTape Dubbing(from VHS to DV)Dubbing An Entire CassetteBecause this VCR includes both VHS deck and DV deck, youcan easily use it for dubbing without connecting any otherequipment.A Load cassettes.For the VHS deckInsert a VHS (or S-VHS) cassette with the record safetytab removed.For the DV deckInsert a Mini DV cassette with the erase protection switchset to “REC”.B Select the dubbing direction.Press .● The dubbing direction indicator ( S-VHS) lights.C Set the tape speed.Press DV, then press SP/LP (p).● “VHS ] DV” appears on the TV screen if “SUPERIMPOSE” isset to “ON”. ( pg. 71)D Start dubbing.Press DUB for more than 2 seconds.● VHS playback indicator and DV recording indicator light.● If the tapes have not been rewound, both decks rewindautomatically. The DV deck goes into Record Pause mode, andthe VHS deck goes into Pause mode.When both decks have finished rewinding, dubbing beginsautomatically.After dubbing is completed, the decks rewind both tapesautomatically and eject them. The VCR then shuts off.NOTES:● If you set the dubbing direction incorrectly, you could erase animportant recording that you wanted to copy.
