11. Connect the product to a power source. Refer toToconnect the product to a power source on page 12.To do a visual inspectionWARNING: Do not use the productif the visual inspection gives indications ofdamage or wear. If you are not sure aboutthe condition of the product or the liftingequipment, speak to a competent person formore inspections.WARNING: Seawater increases thespeed of the corrosion process.WARNING: Sand, concrete dust, andother particles increase the speed of thewear process.• Make sure that there is no wear or damage.• Make sure that there is no deformation. Deformationdecreases the material strength.• Make sure that there is no corrosion.• Make sure that there is no ice on the product.• Make sure that there are no loose bolts or nuts.• Make sure that no bearings or wheels are worn.• Examine all welded joints for cracks.• Make sure that no label is missing and that you canread all labels.• Examine the steel wire ropes for wear and damage.Refer to the operator's manual for the EBE 900 Vshot blaster.• Make sure that the lifting equipment has no cracks,notches, grooves, corrosion or heat discoloration.To do a pairing operation of the remotecontrol and the product1. Install the antenna for the remote control at thebottom of the electrical enclosure.2. Push the ON button for 3 seconds. The LEDflashes with a green light during startup. When theLED flashes with a green light slowly, the pairingoperation is done.To connect the product to a powersource1. Connect the power plug of the product to a groundedmains outlet or other power source.2. Make sure that the mains voltage agrees with thetype plate on the product.To start the product1. Connect the product to a power source. Refer toToconnect the product to a power source on page 12.2. Set the ON/OFF switch (A) in the ON position. Thegreen indicator for control voltage (B) comes on.If the red indicator for phase sequence failure (C)comes on, the phase sequence in the power plugmust be changed.
