Release the joysticks. The machine shouldthen be braked and remain stationary.Check the slew brake’s function by rotating the arm on aslope. Release the joysticks. The arm should then bebraked and stop gently.CoolerOverheating has a negative effect on the service life of themachine’s components. Clean the cooler whennecessary. Refer to “Cleaning the machine” in the“Maintenance and service” section.CylindersChecking cylinder tubes and piston rods must be donewith the cylinders extended to the end position. Replacedamaged components immediately.Check that the cylinder tubes are not dented or cracked.Check that the piston rods are undamaged and straight. Adamaged piston rod causes contamination in thehydraulic system, resulting in mechanical damage.Check the scraperTool attachmentCheck that the tool attachment is complete and that allparts are intact and correctly mounted.Track tensionChecking automatic track tensionCorrect track tensioning is important for the service life ofthe track and the track tensioning.• Extend the outriggers. Let the machine rest on itsoutriggers.• Remove the inspection door.• Pull out the valve and rotate it a quarter turn to lock itin open position.• Slide the tensioning wheel towards the center.• Rotate and release the valve back into position. Refitthe inspection door.Automatic track tensioning can be done in two differentways.1 In the service menu under the tab "Track tension" thetracks can be tensioned automatically. Hold theselection key down to activate the track tension.2 The caterpillar tracks are tensioned automaticallywhen the outriggers are up. Operate the outriggers upand then down. Wait 15 minutes and then check.Should demolition material or suchlike enter into the sideof the tracks during operation, their spring function shouldprevent breakdowns and stoppages. The spring functionconsists of a hydraulic accumulator.• If the tracks become slack it can be due to one of thetrack tensioning function’s non-return valves beingblocked or broken.• If the belts do not spring, the hydraulic accumulatormay be defective.! WARNING! Risk of fire. The machinecontains flammable liquids andcomponents. Do not undertake anywelding in direct connection withflammable liquids, e.g. in the vicinity oftanks, fuel lines or hydraulic pipes.Ensure that there is a fire-extinguisheron site at the workplace.Risk of inhaling harmful substances.Toxic gases can be formed. Whenwelding indoors, use equipment toextract welding fumes. Never weld in thevicinity of rubber or plastic material.
