Kickback may occur whenthe nose or tip of the guide bar touches anobject, and cause a lightning fast reversereaction, kicking the guide bar up andtowards the operator. May cause seriouspersonal injury.Chain brake, activated (right)Chain brake, not activated (left)Decompression valve: The valveis to reduce the pressure in the cylinderand make starting easier. You shouldalways use the decompression valve whenstarting the machine.Ignition; choke: Set the choke control inthe choke position. This shouldautomatically set the stop switch to thestart position.Air purgeAdjustment of the oil pumpOther symbols/decals on the machine refer to specialcertification requirements for certain markets.Switch off the engine beforecarrying out any checks ormaintenance. NB! The start/stopswitch automatically returns to runposition. In order to preventunintentional starting, the sparkplug cap must be removed fromthe spark plug when assembling,checking and/or performingmaintenance.Always wear approved protectivegloves.Regular cleaning is required.Visual check.Protective goggles or a visor must beworn.Refuelling.Filling with oil and adjusting oil flow.The chain brake must be engagedwhen the chain saw is started.
