Anchoring the LiftAnchorsHarmar recommends securing the lift usingthe concrete anchors provided. If youpurchase you own floor anchors they must be3/8” minimum of sufficient length. All fourfloor anchors must be installed correctlyin accordance to their instructions.Step 1• Position the lift in its final location.• Verify that it is level and perpendicular to itssurroundings and all running clearances arethe proper dimension.• Shim if necessary.Step 2Use the lift’s base as a template. Drill 4 holesinto the concrete making sure that the holesare deep enough to accept the anchors.Tip: Concrete dust may have settled intothe holes you just drilled. Use a shopvacuum to clean out these holes. This willensure the floor anchors set correctly.Step 3Secure the lift in place by tightening the flooranchor bolts.Step 4 (800 or taller models)Taller lifts must have the top of the lifttower anchored into a solid surface toensure running clearances remainconstant. There are two options for anchoring the top ofthe tower:1) For lifts going up to a landing such as adeck or porch, the optional tower brace isthe preferred method. Instructions for thebrace are packaged with it.2) For lifts that are placed with the back ofthe tower against a solid wall such asinside of a hoistway, drilling two holesthrough the top tower cross brace andanchoring is preferred.12Anchor two locations
