32File MenuThe File Menu allows you to open, save, and print sensor configurations. The items in the File Menu work like mostWindows-based programs.Comm MenuThe Comm (Communication) Menu allows you to set the port number, baud rate, and then connect and disconnectfrom the sensor.Setup: Opens the Comm Setup Window. Select the serial port to whichthe sensor is connected from the drop-down list. Then select Auto (theprogram determines the baud rate on its own) or Manual (you then enterthe baud rate) for the baud rate entry.Connect: Select Connect to connect to the sensor to change or view theconfiguration.Disconnect: Select Disconnect to disconnect from the sensor.Config MenuThe Config (Configuration) Menu allows youconfigure the sensor as it is connected.Sensor Configuration (F6): Opens the SensorConfiguration Window, shown to the right. Manyof the fields in this window should be left alone.Please refer to the beginning of this manual forclarification about some of these fields. For themost part, this window is used to enter a newlatitude, longitude, and altitude for the sensor. Thisis especially helpful when you are programmingthe sensor for use in a particular geographiclocation.Resetting the Unit (Reset Unit) performs a reset onthe unit, much like cycling the power.Resetting the non-volatile memory (ResetNonVol) will clear all of the data from the non-volatile memory effectively causing the sensor tobe configured with factory defaults.
