18Part Two: Section 2XM WeatherTFR InformationAreas with TFRs (Temporary Flight Restrictions)are shown outlined in yellow on the NAV main pageof the 500W-series and on the Map and XM Weatherpage of both the 400W and 500W-series. Moreinformation about Temporary Flight Restrictions canbe seen on the TFR Information page, which can beaccessed from the Map page or the XM Weather page.1a. With the Map page (the second page of theNAV page group) displayed, press the smallright knob to bring up the map pointer.or1b. With the XM Weather page (the third pageof the NAV page group) displayed, press theMENU key to bring up the Page Menu. Then,turn the large right knob to highlight “ShowMap Pointer” and press ENT to bring up themap pointer.2. Turn the large and small right knobs to movethe map pointer to the yellow boundary of aTFR region. When the map pointer is withinthe TFR region, its boundary will be highlightedwith a wider yellow line.3. Press ENT. The first item is the pop-up PageMenu will be “Review TFR?”.4. Press ENT again to see the TFR Informationpage.5. Press ENT when done viewing the TFR Informa-tion page.The fields of the TFR Information page are as fol-lows:• Type. A brief description of the reason for thetemporary flight restriction appears here. Someexamples of the text that might appear hereare: “Fire,” “Miscellaneous,” “National SecurityArea,” “Natural Disaster,” and “Sports Event.”• Facility/NOTAM. This filed contains a codefor the name of the FAA facility that issued theNOTAM (Notice to Airmen) announcing theTFR, followed by the NOTAM number. Forinstance, “ZSE 6/9507” would mean NOTAMnumber 6/9507 from the Seattle ARTCC (KZSE).
