Operating Instructions Safety InstructionsInstallationInstructionsTroubleshooting TipsConsumer Support30The oven door must be closed and all controls set correctly for the cycle to work properly.How to Delay the Start of CleaningMake sure the clock shows the correct timeof day.NOTE: The surface burners must be turnedoff prior to the self-clean start time.If your model has a latch, latchthe door.Touch the Self Clean pad.Using the number pads, enter thedesired clean time.Touch the Delay Start pad. The earlieststart time you can set will appear in thedisplay.Using the number pads, enter thetime of day you want the clean cycleto start.Touch the Start pad.On models without a door latch, the doorlocks automatically. The display will show thestart time. It will not be possible to open theoven door until the temperature drops belowthe lock temperature and the LOCKED DOORlight goes off.The oven shuts off automatically when theclean cycle is complete.When the LOCKED DOOR light is off,slide the latch handle to the left as faras it will go and open the door. If yourrange does not have a latch, the doorwill unlock automatically.■ The words LOCK DOOR will flash and theoven control will signal if you set the cleancycle and forget to close the oven door orforget to latch the door on models witha latch.■ To stop a clean cycle, touch the Clear/Offpad. When the LOCKED DOOR light goesoff, indicating the oven has cooled belowthe locking temperature, unlatch the door(on models with a latch) and open the door.After a Clean CycleYou may notice some white ash in the oven.Wipe it up with a damp cloth after theoven cools.If white spots remain, remove them with asoap-filled scouring pad and rinse thoroughlywith a vinegar and water mixture.These deposits are usually a salt residuethat cannot be removed by the clean cycle.If the oven is not clean after one clean cycle,repeat the cycle.■ You cannot set the oven for cooking untilthe oven is cool enough for the door tounlock.■ While the oven is self-cleaning, you cantouch the Clock pad to display the timeof day. To return to the clean countdown,touch the Cooking Time pad.■ If the racks become hard to slide, apply asmall amount of vegetable oil or cooking oilto a paper towel and wipe the edges of theoven racks with the paper towel.Using the self-cleaning upper oven.
