Automatic IcemakerThe icemaker will produce eight cubes percycle—approximately 120 cubes in a 24-hourperiod, depending on freezer compartmenttemperature, room temperature, numberof door openings and other use conditions.If the refrigerator is operated before thewater connection is made to the icemaker,keep the feeler arm in theSTOP (up)position.When the refrigerator has been connectedto the water supply, move the feeler arm totheON (down) position.The icemaker will fill with water when it coolsto freezing. Toreduce water spotting, the shelf and its grilleshould be cleaned regularly.If no water is dispensed when the refrigerator isfirst installed, there may be air in the water linesystem. Press the dispenser pad for at least twominutes to remove trapped air from the waterline and to fill the water system. To flush outimpurities in the water line, throw away thefirst six glassfuls of water.A light switch (on some models) turns thenight light in the dispenser on or off. Thelight also comes on when the dispenser padis pressed. The light in the dispenser shouldbe replaced with a 7 watt maximum bulbwhen it burns out.CAUTION: Never put fingers or any otherobjects into the ice crusher dischargeopening.Spill Shelf
