Each heading page is divided further into further submenus.The MESSAGE keys navigate through the submenus. The VALUE keys increment or decrement numerical setting values whenin programming mode. These keys also scroll through alphanumeric values in the text edit mode. Alternatively, values canbe entered with the numeric keypad.The decimal key initiates and advances to the next character in text edit mode or enters a decimal point.The HELP key can be pressed at any time for context-sensitive help messages.The ENTER key stores setting values.When entering an IP address on the front panel, key in the first sequence of the number, then press the • key for thedecimal place. For example, for 127.0.0.1, press 127, then •, then 0, then •, then 0, then •, then 1. To save the address, pressthe ENTER key.The figure shows the sequence to use to enter a setting. The header title appears momentarily followed by aheader display page menu item. Each press of the MENU key advances through the following main headings:• Actual Values• Settings• Commands• Targets• Factory Service• User displays (when enabled)4.2.4 Menu hierarchyThe setting and actual value messages are arranged hierarchically. The header display pages are indicated by doublescroll bars (), while sub-header pages are indicated by single scroll bar (). The header display pages represent thehighest level of the hierarchy and the sub-header display pages fall below this level. The MESSAGE up and down arrow keysmove within a group of headers, sub-headers, setting values, or actual values. Continually pressing the MESSAGE rightarrow from a header display displays specific information for the category. Conversely, continually pressing the MESSAGEleft arrow from a setting value or actual value display returns to the header display.
