Oven ShelvesClean the shelves with an abrasive cleanser orsteel wool. After cleaning, rinse the shelves withclean water and dry with a clean cloth.Lift-up Cooktop (on models with standard twin burners)Clean the area under the cooktop often. Built-up soil,especially grease, may catch on fire.To make cleaning easier, the cooktop may be lifted up.To raise the cooktop:1. Be sure burners are turned off.2. Remove the grates.3. Grasp the two front burner wells and lift up.Some models have dual support rods that will hold thecooktop up while you clean underneath it.Oven Air VentsNever block the vents (air openings) of the range.They provide the air inlet and outlet that are necessaryfor the range to operate properly with correctcombustion. Air openings are located at the rear of thecooktop, at the top and bottom of the oven door, and atthe bottom of the range, under the kick panel, storagedrawer or broiler drawer (depending on the model).Clean under the cooktopwith hot, soapy water and aclean cloth. If you removed yoursurface burners while cleaning,make sure they are properlyseated when replacing them.After cleaning, lower tie cooktop (be careful notto pinch your fingers).
