Do notplace foods on the oven bottom forcooking.To remove a rack, pull it toward you,tilt the front end up and pull it out.To replace, place the end of the rack(stop-locks) on the support, tilt up thefront and push the rack in.CAUTION: When you are using arack in the lowest position (A), you will need touse caution when pulling the rack out. Werecommend that you pull the rack out severalinches and then, using two pot holders, pull therack out by holding the sides of it. The rack is lowand you could be burned if you place your hand inthe middle of the rack and pull all the way out. Bevery careful not to burn your hand on the doorwhen using the rack in the lowest position (A).How to Set the Oven for Baking or RoastingTouch the BAKE pad.Touch the number pads to setthe desired temperature.Touch the START pad.Check food for doneness atminimum time on recipe. Cooklonger if necessary.Touch the OFF pad when cooking iscomplete.Preheating and Pan PlacementPreheat the oven if the recipe calls for it.Preheating is necessary for good resultswhen baking cakes, cookies, pastry andbreads.To preheat, set the oven at the correcttemperature. The control will beep whenthe oven is preheated and the display willshow your set temperature. This will takeapproximately 15–20 minutes.Baking results will be better if bakingpans are centered in the oven as muchas possible. If baking with more than onepan, place the pans so each has at least2.5 cm to 3.8 cm (1″ to 11⁄2″) of air spacearound it.If baking four cake layers at the sametime, place two layers on rack B and twolayers on rack D.
