28NOTE: When you complete the deregistration process, “HANDSET NEEDSREGISTRATION” shows in the display. To use the handset, you mustregister the handset.G LOBAL D E -REGISTRATIONIf one or more handsets becomes lost, you should de-register all handsetsto ensure proper system operation. Follow the steps below to deregisterboth handsets at the same time.WARNING: It is not recommended that a handset be de-registered unlessabsolutely necessary because once a handset is de-registered, that handset'stelephone features cannot be used until the handset is re-registered.NOTE: Before starting global de-registration procedure, let all handsets sitidle for 20 seconds.1. Press and hold the PAGE button on the base until the in use/chargingindicator on the base flashes.2. Press and hold the PAGE button on the base again until the in use/charging indicator on the base flashes rapidly.3. Press and release the PAGE button on the base once. All handsets are de-registered andHANDSET NEEDS REGISTRATION shows in the display.D EFAULT SETTINGAs you become familiar with this system, you may prefer to use thesystem’s original settings. Follow the steps below to return to the factorydefault settings.1. Make sure your phone is OFF (not in talk mode).2. Press the MUTE/PROG button to go to the main menu.3. Press CID/VOL ( or ) button to scroll toHANDSET SETUP.4. Press MUTE/PROG button to confirm.5. Press the CID/VOL ( or ) button to scroll to the DEFAULTSETTING menu.6. Press the MUTE/PROG button to enter the menu.DEFAULT SETTING1YES 2NO shows in the display.
