InstallationSafety and Installation (RC620 / EPSON RC+ 6.0) Rev.121582.6.6 Checking Emergency Stop Switch OperationOnce the Emergency Stop switch is connected to the EMERGENCY connector,continue the following procedure to make sure that the switch functions properly.Control Unit RC620(1) Turn ON the Control Unit to boot the controller software while pressing theEmergency Stop switch.(2) Make sure that the Control Unit LCD displays the one of the following.EP Estop(3) Make sure that “E.Stop” is displayed on the status bar on the main window.(4) Release the Emergency Stop Switch.(5) Execute the RESET command.(6) Make sure that LCD display in step (2) is turned off and that “E-Stop” isdimmed on the main window status bar.Drive Unit RC620DU(1) Turn ON the Drive Unit to boot the software while pressing the EmergencyStop switch.(2) Make sure that “ERROR/E-STOP” LED on Drive Unit has been turned ON.(3) Make sure that “E.Stop” is displayed on the main window status bar.(4) Release the Emergency Stop Switch.(5) Execute the RESET command.(6) Make sure that “ERROR/E-STOP” LED turns OFF and “E-Stop” display fadeson the main window status bar.
