73THE ES 450 ELECTRONIC CONTROL SYSTEMThe ES 450 electronic oven control system is used tocontrol the oven on self-cleaning model ranges that havethe convection and pre-programmed features.HOW TO PROGRAM THE ES 450The oven can be programmed to: BAKE, TIMEBAKE, BROIL, CONVECTION BAKE, SELF-CLEAN,CONTINUOUS BAKE, PREPROGRAM FUNCTIONSand SET FOR OVEN LOCKOUT.Clock:The clock may be set for 12 or 24 hour time of dayoperation. The clock has been preset at the factory for12 hour operation. When the range is first plugged in, orwhen the power supply to the range has been interrupted,the timer in the display will flash and PF (power failure)will appear in the display.To set the Clock (example 1:30):1. Press Clock . “CLO” will appear in the display.2. Press the numbers 1 3 0 to set the time of day to1:30. “CLO” will disappear after 4 seconds and theclock will start. Or, you may press Start. “CLO” willdisappear.Changing between 12 or 24 hour time of day display:1. Press and hold Clock for 6 seconds; a beep willsound.2. The display will show 12:00 to indicate the 12 hourtime of day operation is active.3. Press Clean to toggle between the 12 and 24 hourtime of day display. The display will show either12:00 or 24:00.4. Press Start to accept the change or press Clear/Off.5. Reset the correct time as described in To setthe Clock.Please note that if the 24 hour time of day mode waschoosen, the clock will now display time from 0:00 through24:00 hours.Continuous Bake or 12 Hour Energy Savings:The oven control has a factory preset built-in 12 HourEnergy Saving feature that will shut off the oven if theoven control is left on for more than 11 hours and 59minutes. The oven can be programmed to override thisfeature for continuous baking.To set the control for continuous bake or 12 HourEnergy Saving1. Press and hold Timer On/Off for 7 seconds, “:—”or “:24” will appear in the display and the control willbeep once.2. Press Clean to toggle between the 12 Hour EnergySaving and continuous bake features.Note: “12” in the display indicates the control is set forthe 12 Hour Energy Saving mode and “--” indicates thecontrol is set for the continuous bake feature.3. Press Start to accept the change or press Clear/Off to reject the change.
