57Sabbath modeThis appliance provides special settings for usewhen observing the Jewish Sabbath/Holidays. Thismode will turn off all audible tones or visual displaychanges normally provided by the oven control.BAKE is the only cooking features available whilein the Sabbath mode.You must first set the BAKE feature andtemperature(s) needed for the lower oven, theCOOK TIME option if needed before setting theSabbath mode. Any settings made prior to settingthe Sabbath mode will be visible in the displays.The Sabbath mode will override the factory preset12 Hour Energy Saving mode and the appliancewill stay on until the cooking features are cancelled.If any of the cooking features are cancelled whenthe appliance is in the Sabbath mode, no audibleor visual indicators will be available to verify thecancellation.If the oven interior lights are needed, be sure toactivate them prior to setting the Sabbath mode.Once the oven light is turned ON and the Sabbathmode is active, the oven light will remain on untilthe Sabbath mode is turned off and the oven lightsare turned off. The oven door will not activate theoven interior lights when the oven door is openedor closed.For further assistance, guidelinesfor proper usage and a complete listof models with the Sabbath feature,please visit the web at http:\\www.star-k.org.Fig. 1It is recommended that any oven temperaturemodification made within an active Sabbath modebe followed with 2 presses of the START key. Thiswill insure the oven remains ON even if an attemptis made to set the oven temperature outside of itstemperature range. If the oven temperature is setoutside of the temperature range, the oven willdefault to the nearest available temperature. Try toset the desired oven temperature again.Should a power failure or interruption occur duringthe Sabbath/Holidays, the appliance will shut OFF.When power is restored the appliance will not turnback on automatically to the original BAKE featuresettings. SF will appear in all the control displaypanels indicating a Sabbath mode failure. - Figs. 1-After a power failure, the food may be safelyremoved from the oven while still in the Sabbathmode.Setting Lower Oven ControlsExampleNOTENo Sabbath mode is available for microwave oven.Do not use the microwave oven when the Sabbathmode is enabled.
