WarrantedPartsCoverageunderthis warrantyextendsonly to the parts listedbelow (theemissioncontrolsystemsparts)to the extentthese partswere presentonthe engine purchased.a. FuelMeteringSystem• Cold start enrichmentsystem• Carburetorand internalparts• FuelPumpb. Air lnduction System• Air cleaner• Intakemanifoldc. IgnitionSystem• Spark plug(s)• Magnetoignitionsystemd. CatalystSystem• Catalyticconverter• Exhaustmanifold• Air injectionsystemor pulsevalvee. MiscellaneousItemsUsedin AboveSystems• Vacuum,temperature,position,time sensitivevalvesandswitches• Connectorsandassemblies2. Lengthof CoverageSearswarrantsto the initialownerand eachsubsequentpurchaserthatthe WarrantedPartsshallbe free from defects in materialsandworkman-shipwhich causedthe failure of the WarrantedPartsfor a periodof oneyearfrom the datethe engineis deliveredto a retailpurchaser.3. NoChargeRepairor replacementof anyWarrantedPartwill be performedat nochargeto the owner,includingdiagnosticlabor whichleads to thedeterminationthata WarrantedPartis defective,if the diagnosticwork isperformedat an AuthorizedSears ServiceDealer.For emissionswarrantyservicecontact yournearestAuthorizedSears ServiceDealeras listed inthe "YellowPages"under"Engines,Gasoline,""GasolineEngines,""LawnMowers,"or similar category.4. Claimsand CoverageExclusionsWarrantyclaimsshall be filed in accordancewiththe provisionsof theSears EngineWarrantyPolicy.Warrantycoverageshall be excludedforfailuresof WarrantedPartswhichare not original Sears partsor becauseof abuse, neglector impropermaintenanceas setforth inthe SearsEngineWarrantyPolicy.Sears is not liableto coverfailuresof WarrantedPartscausedby the use of add-on, non-original,or modifiedparts.5. MaintenanceAny WarrantedPart whichis not scheduledfor replacementas requiredmaintenanceor whichis scheduledonly for regularinspectionto the effectof "repairor replaceas necessary"shallbe warrantedas to defectsfor thewarrantyperiod.Any WarrantedPartwhich is scheduledfor replacementas requiredmaintenanceshallbe warrantedas to defectsonly fortheperiodof time up to the first scheduledreplacementfor that part. Anyreplacementpart that is equivalentin performanceand durabilitymaybe usedin the performanceof any maintenanceor repairs.The ownerisresponsibleforthe performanceof all requiredmaintenance,as definedinthe SearsOperatingand MaintenanceInstructions.6.
