Safety and Assembly InstructionsCRRFTSMRN®FLEX SHAFT forALL-IN-ONECUTTING TOOLASSEMBLYINSTRUCTIONS.2,Turn cutting tool motor switch OFF and removeplug from the power source.Lock main shaft (3) by rotating the collet nut (1)while pressing on the spindle lock button (4)until the spindle lock prevents shaft fromrotating (see Fig. 1).Model No.183.287660. Use cutting tool fiat wrench (5) to loosen thecollet nut by turning it counter clockwise.Remove collet (2) from inside main shaft ofcutting tool.A WARNING ]ALWAYS WEAR EYE PROTECTION. Any powertool can throw foreignobjects into your eyeswhich could causepermanent aye damage.ALWAYS wear safetygoggles (not glasses) thatcomply with ANSI safetystandard Z87.1. Everyday glasses have onlyimpact resistant lenses. They ARE NOT safetyglasses. Safety goggles are available at mosthardware stores.Glasses or goggles not in compliance with ANSIZ87.1 could cause serious injury when theybreak.USE FACE OR DUST MASK along with safetygoggles if cutting or routing operation is dusty.Make sure work area is well ventilated.NEVER PLACE HANDS IN THE PATH OF THECUTTER or under the workpiece.USE HEARING PROTECTION, particularlyduring extended periods of operation,ALWAYS RE-TIGHTEN COLLET before startingthe tool after a cutting bit or accessory hasbeen changed. Loose bits and accessories cancause unexpected shifting of the tool, resultingin loss of control and injury from the bit orcutting tool being thrown.NEVER TOUCH THE CUTTING BITIMMEDIATELY AFTER USE.
